Legacy Sports International was founded in 2000 by Gene Lumsden and an associate following the liquidation of Interarms' remaining inventory. Building upon a legacy of firearms distribution that traces its roots back to Samuel Cummings' founding of Interarmco in 1953, the company established its headquarters in Reno, Nevada.
