When you purchase a firearm from TheGunDock, it must be shipped to a licensed FFL dealer near you for the background check and transfer. During checkout, you select an FFL dealer from our built-in FFL finder. We ship the firearm to that dealer, and they contact you when it arrives. You complete the ATF Form 4473, pass the NICS background check, and pick up your firearm. The FFL dealer may charge a transfer fee (typically $15-$50).

Most orders ship within 1-3 business days. Once shipped, transit time depends on the carrier and destination, but most orders arrive within 3-7 business days. You will receive a tracking number via email as soon as your order ships.

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) through our secure, PCI-compliant payment gateway. We also accept Credova financing for qualified buyers, allowing you to split your purchase into affordable monthly payments.

Firearms must be shipped to a licensed FFL dealer, not directly to your home. This is federal law. During checkout, our system automatically determines which items require FFL transfer and which can ship to you.

Start every return by filling out the RMA form at https://www.thegundock.com/rma/request/ and wait for approval before shipping anything back. Most items can be returned within 30 days of delivery in new condition with the original packaging. A 15-20% restocking fee applies unless the return is due to our error, and the buyer pays return shipping. Firearms are final once you complete the Form 4473 at your dealer, so inspect before you sign. Optics, electronics, opened ammunition, and custom or clearance items are not returnable unless we shipped the wrong item.

Yes. We sell suppressors, short-barreled rifles (SBRs), and other NFA items. NFA purchases require additional paperwork (ATF Form 4). As of January 1, 2026 there is no $200 tax stamp for suppressors, SBRs, SBSs, or AOWs. The process typically takes several months for approval. We work with your chosen dealer to facilitate the transfer once your Form 4 is approved.
