It raises these optics to a precise height, positioning the optical center line at 2.26 inches above the rail. This aids the shooter in many different areas, Including shooting passively with Night Vision or shooting with a gas mask. It also helps get the sight in in line with the shooters vision, speeding up time on target. This elevation provides a solid platform, making it convenient to directly attach optics, including those designed for lower 1/3 co-witness configurations, such as the EOTech EXPS and Vortex UH-1, and many other optic choices out on the market.
