The Traditions Vortek StrikerFire LDR is a .50 caliber muzzleloading rifle with a 30" ultralight chromoly tapered, fluted barrel with 1.28" rifling. The barrel is finished with a premium Cerakote finish providing protection from corrosion and increasing durability. The StrikerFire LDR comes with the StrikerFire System which eliminates the hammer, allowing a scope to be placed closer to the bore. Cocking the gun is done by sliding the striker button forward until it locks. Recessed de-cocking buttons allow for quick and quiet de-cocking. The StrikerFire LDR is also equipped with an automatic de-cocking mechanism, making the gun de-cocked when the gun is open. The rifle comes with the TCA2 Trigger System a two-stage competition style trigger set at 2 lbs. The StrikerFire also comes with the 1-piece Accelerator Breech Plug, Dual Safety System, and Speed Load System.Loading the rifle is easier and faster with the Quick-T Ramrod Handle. The Quick-T is a palm saver and t-handle in one, with a t-shaped piece with brass jag that can screw in. The Quick-T Ramrod Handle sits on your ramrod when in the storage position.The StrikerFire LDR weighs 6.5 lbs., making it lighter than many 28 guns currently on the market.
