Return Policy (updated 2025)
Important Notice: Please read this return policy carefully. By completing a purchase from TheGunDock.com, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this policy.
1. Inspection and Return Timeframe
It is the buyer's responsibility to inspect all items upon arrival within 3 calendar days of receiving the item(s). All returns must be initiated within 30 days of the original purchase date. Items must be returned in their original, unused condition with all original packaging, accessories, manuals, and documentation.
Firearms Returns: Per federal law and our posted return policy, we cannot accept returns on firearms where a 4473 transfer has been completed and the customer has taken possession of the firearm. If you have completed a 4473 and taken possession, your return request will be denied. Firearms that have not been transferred (still at FFL dealer) may be returned in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
2. Restocking Fees (Non-Refundable)
All returns initiated due to customer preference, buyer's remorse, or change of mind are subject to a 10% restocking fee. These fees are charged by our warehouses and distributors for processing returned merchandise and must be billed through to the customer. Because these fees are imposed by our suppliers, they are non-negotiable and cannot be waived. Restocking fees do not apply if the item is defective or if we shipped the wrong item (proof required).
3. Shipping Costs (Non-Refundable)
Original shipping charges are non-refundable for preference-based returns. Return shipping costs are the sole responsibility of the customer unless the item is defective or incorrect. If we provide a return shipping label, the cost will be automatically deducted from your refund. Shipping costs will only be reimbursed if the return is due to our error and you provide original shipping receipts.
4. Manufacturer's Warranty
All items are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Warranty claims should be directed to the manufacturer per their warranty terms.
5. Refund Calculation
Final refund amount = Original purchase price - Restocking fee (if applicable) - Return shipping costs (if applicable)
Refunds will be processed within 3-5 business days after the returned item is received, inspected, and approved.
6. Order Cancellation or Changes
Order cancellations or changes are subject to a $5.00 processing fee, along with any applicable GunBroker final value fees.
7. Payment Disputes and Chargeback Policy
TheGunDock.com has been a trusted firearms dealer for over 20 years. We encourage customers to contact us directly to resolve any concerns before initiating payment disputes.
Firearms-Related Transactions:
Per federal regulations, chargebacks on firearm transactions may require us to file ATF Form 3310.11 (Report of Multiple Sale or Other Disposition) with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. This form is required when there is a question about the disposition of a firearm and creates a federal record associated with the firearm's serial number. We will comply with all federal reporting requirements as mandated by law.
Chargeback Fees:
A $50.00 returned payment fee will be assessed for chargebacks or payment disputes to cover administrative costs, processing fees, and compliance reporting. This fee is separate from any restocking fees or other charges outlined in this policy.

We strongly encourage you to contact us directly at support@thegundock.com or by phone to resolve any issues. Our customer service team has over 20 years of experience resolving concerns quickly and fairly. Most issues can be resolved through direct communication without the need for payment disputes. By making a purchase, you acknowledge that you are responsible for reading our policies in detail and understand that our return policy is clearly stated and designed to be fair to both parties.
8. Legal Agreement
This return policy constitutes a legally binding agreement between you and TheGunDock.com. We reserve the right to inspect all returned items and refuse returns that do not meet our policy requirements.
